Butter LONDON, a line of nontoxic nail polishes based in Seattle has announced its special-edition royal-wedding-themed shade. (Sure beats tea towels and that less-than-flattering royal coin!)
The polish will be available for online preorders in March on zuneta.com. Perfect timing for April 29's "it" bride to slip on a little something blue for her prenuptial pedicure!
Inspired by the pre-engagement nickname Prince Williams' long-devoted girlfriend received from the British press during her eight-year courtship with her college sweetheart, the polish name is a witty nod that plays on the nail-care industry's habit of giving its lacquer's tongue-in-cheek labels.
Founded by native Brit Sasha Muir, who collaborates closely with fashion veteran and Creative Director Nonie Creme, Butter LONDON is already a celebrity favorite, known for its toxin-free product line.
The company pledges that its polishes, which retail for about , contain no potentially toxic formaldehyde, toulene or dibutyl pthalate.
Kathie Lee Gifford of "Today" recently named Butter LONDON's mauve-hued Yummy Mummy lacquer one of her favorite things. The boutique brand also recently collaborated with designer Vena Cava to create Marrow, a shade inspired by the rusty purple hue of the center of human bones.
Speaking of the royal wedding, read the designer rumored to be Middleton's choice for creating her bridal gown.
