Let’s Talk About Kate Winslet’s Recent Nail Polish Choices

While I’m not quite as into nails as yesterday’s Blogging Babe Michelle from Alllacqueredup.com is, I do pay attention to what polishes celebs are sportin’. Let's take Kate Winslet, for instance

From her recent nail choices, I think it’s safe to conclude that she's a classic, neutral kind of girl. Here's a close look at two of her styles (along with the exact colors she’s wearing, straight from her manicurist Deborah Lippmann): First, here’s Kate on Oprah recently, where she wore a shimmery white polish:

The shade was Deborah Lippmann Collection Rhapsody In White, which she also wore to the Golden Globes. And at the SAG awards she went with a sheer, barely there pink called Prelude To A Kiss that I kind of think might be a perfect wedding color:

Understated but lovely. What’s nice about both of these neutral shades is that they’re super subtle so her nails look “done” without distracting from her outfits. One tip when you go for a neutral DIY mani: Make sure to buff your nails a bit before you swipe the color on neutral polishes tend to show every little bump, so having a smooth surface is key.
